Exotel is not integrated into a bot. It is a third-party platform that allows you to set up opt-ins and discovery campaigns for WhatsApp numbers. It plays a huge role in marketing and as an entry point through the WhatsApp number for the end-users.
Exotel does provide the functionality to set up missed call/ SMS campaigns which can help get users on the WhatsApp number. For such integrations, Exotel makes use of Haptik's notification APIs on WhatsApp.
