On Instagram chatbots, users can interact with a business by sending them text as well as media messages. In this document, you can see how different elements are rendered on the Instagram bot.

1. Quick Replies

Quick replies provide a way to present a set of buttons in the conversation for users to reply with. A maximum of 13 quick replies are supported and each quick reply allows up to 20 characters before being truncated. Quick replies only support plain text.

2. Ice breaker

Ice Breakers provide a way for users to start a conversation with a business with a list of frequently asked questions. A maximum of 4 questions can be set via the Ice Breaker API.

3. Images

Sending images to users is simple and is supported. The image comes with buttons that the users can use for making a selection. 

The character limit for Button is 31, for the title is 100, for the subtitle is 110. The description is not supported Supported formats for images are jpg, png, ico, bmp. It should be less than 8 MB.

4. Carousels

A Carousel is a horizontally sliding catalog of options a customer can pick from. Each option is displayed as a card with an image, title, description, and buttons. 

The character limit for Button is 31, for the title is 70, for the subtitle is 70. The description is not supported. A total of 10 carousels can be displayed per row, in a group.

5. Story replies

If you have added a Story on your Instagram business account, and when a user replies to the story the bot gets triggered automatically. 

6. Reactions

If you have added a Story on your Instagram business account, and when a user reacts to the story the bot gets triggered automatically.
